Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Alajmo AB ("JayBoard", "we"), a company registered in Sweden, for use of the JayBoard service, including the website, the app and the browser extension. By creating an account you accept them.

1. What the service is

JayBoard lets you capture images, videos, links and whole pages from the web into a private library, organise them into projects with tags and descriptions, search them, and arrange them on moodboards. A read-only public demo is available without an account, and shows sample content rather than yours.

2. Your account

• You need an account to save anything, and you are responsible for what happens under it.
• Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
• One person per account. Do not share credentials.

3. Subscription and payment

• JayBoard is a paid subscription. There is no free tier and no trial — the demo is how you look before paying.
• You are charged on the day you subscribe, and on the same day of each period after that, until you cancel.
• Prices are shown before you pay and include tax where we are required to charge it.
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
• We do not give refunds. Cancelling stops the next charge; payments already taken are not returned. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any refund right the law gives you.
• If we change prices, existing subscribers are told by email before it applies to them.
• A failed payment can suspend access after a short grace period. Your content is not deleted for non-payment without notice.

4. Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to everything you save. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, process it so features work — generating thumbnails, indexing it for search, and tagging it automatically if that feature is enabled — and show it back to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.

5. What you may capture

JayBoard is a tool for keeping references. What you point it at is your responsibility. You agree not to use it to:

• copy material you have no right to copy, or breach someone's licence or terms;
• store anything unlawful, or material that sexually exploits or endangers children;
• capture other people's private or personal information without a lawful basis;
• get around a paywall, access control or technical protection measure;
• attack, overload or probe the service, or try to reach another account's data;
• resell the service or run it as your own product.

Saving a page captures it as you can see it, including anything visible because you are signed in. Take care with pages holding someone else's personal data.

6. The browser extension

The extension only reads a page when you tell it to, and sends what you capture to your JayBoard account alone. It is provided under these same terms. Distribution is through the Chrome Web Store, whose own terms apply to the download itself.

7. Storage limits

Each plan includes a storage allowance and a monthly allowance for automatic tagging. When you reach a limit, new saves are refused until you free space or move up a plan. Nothing is deleted for going over.

8. Availability

We work to keep JayBoard running but do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, failures and third-party outages happen. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn; if we withdraw something you rely on, we will say so in advance where we reasonably can.

9. Ending the agreement

• You can close your account at any time from the account page. That deletes your library and the files in it — see the Privacy Policy for what that means and how long backups persist.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 5, or that we are legally required to act on. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will give you notice and a chance to export first.

10. No warranty

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about it. JayBoard is not a backup service. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or corrupted data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, the date at the top changes and account holders are emailed before it takes effect. Continuing to use JayBoard after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes go to the courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law where you live.
