The tag filter was a combobox in the toolbar, between search and sort, capped in width and scrolling sideways through its own pills. A toolbar row has a ceiling and a tag list does not. Past a handful of tags you could not see what was filtering the grid, and a tag you had not already picked was reachable only by typing a prefix you had to know in advance.

The panel#

The tag button sits at the right of the toolbar, before Add. It opens a panel listing every tag in scope with the number of items carrying it. Click a row to filter by that tag, click it again to drop it, and Clear at the foot drops them all. Pick a second tag and the AND/OR toggle appears beside the panel's own search field. Esc closes the panel, and it remembers whether it was open.

On a wide window the panel is a real column rather than something laid over the page: the grid gives up the width and the cards reflow into what is left. On a narrow one it is a drawer, the same as the sidebar.

The button carries a count while the panel is shut, so a filter you left on is still visible from the toolbar. Search gets back the width the combobox was using.

The list holds still#

Selected tags used to sort to the top. Picking one slid it out from under the pointer and shuffled everything you were about to pick next. The order never changes now, and a row's tint is what says it is on.

A selected tag is also always drawn, even when it does not match what you typed in the panel's search field. Before, the panel could show nothing switched on while the grid stayed filtered, with no way to switch it off without clearing the field first.

Selection mode was built for a batch: pick several things, then say where they go. That is the wrong shape for a long page of images you already know you want, where the form at the end is the slow part.

One-click mode#

Press AltShiftD. The same overlay comes up with no batch and no form — every click sends what is under it straight to your active project. The toolbar shows the destination and a way out, and nothing else.

Selection mode is unchanged and still AltShiftS. Use one to gather and decide, the other to empty a page.

The overlay holds still#

Two fixes that only show up on real pages:

The crop chrome was reworked at the same time: a crop is drawn with Ctrl/⌘-drag, then moved by its body, resized by eight handles, or dropped with its ✕. The save form beside it was tightened to the four fields it actually writes.

Automatic tagging used to be one button that did one thing to everything. It is now something you aim.

Annotate#

The ✨ button is called Annotate, and it is a menu with three rows: Tags + description, Tags, Description. The same menu is in all three places it belongs — the toolbar, the selection bar, and the viewer — so the choice does not depend on where you happen to be standing.

The word matters. The menu writes tags, a description, or both, and \"auto-tag\" named only half of what could happen. It also overwrites a description that is already there, which is not a thing to do without saying so first.

Bookmarks read the page#

A saved link now takes the page's own preview image, its title and its description, rather than a screenshot and an address. A page saved offline is captured at the size of the window you are browsing in, so the copy looks like what you were reading.

A frame out of a video#

The viewer's camera button captures the frame on screen as a new image in the same project.

A welcome for a new account#

A new account used to land in an empty grid with no instruction. It now gets three steps — get the extension, select on a page, and let AI annotate what arrives — with the auto-annotate switch for Inbox right there in the third one. It shows once, and Don't show again retires it for good.
